Support for veterans to return to work

Places for People is one of the latest organisations that have signed up to the Career Transition Partnership which helps ex-military personal find civilian employment.
Places for People hopes to support veterans into the workplace and also benefit from the skills and experience they have to offer, reports 24dash.
All veterans applying for jobs in Places for People's Property Maintenance Division through the CTP will be guaranteed an interview as long as they meet the minimum role requirements. Roles include, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, team leaders, regional managers and work schedulers.
Grace Marguerie, Places for People's HR Director said: "Registering with the CTP will give us access to one of the most skilled and qualified workforces in the country. It is also providing opportunities for people who deserve an equally rewarding career in civilian life as they had in the military."
Bob Bacon, Employment Consultant at the CTP aid: "The transition to civilian life after a career in the military can be difficult for some individuals. A big part of making this adjustment is finding suitable employment. So far the CTP has supported over 180,000 service leavers into employment. This has only been possible with the support of organisations like Places for People."
