New Fundraising Campaign Launched by Hospital Charity

The Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity has launched a new fundraising campaign with the help of social media.
The campaign encourages its supporters to partake in its ‘Every £1 Counts' fundraiser by making a donation and sharing a ‘pound selfie' on Facebook and Twitter throughout January.
The charity are hoping to reach out to as many people as possible by reminding them that any donation can make a big difference. It is also very quick and easy to get involved as many of us have Facebook and Twitter accounts.
All funds will be given to the charity's Make It Better appeal which aims to raise £10m regionally by 2016 to ensure the hospital has world class facilities along with the high standard treatment it provides. This appeal plans to extend and improve services at the hospital; including a new building and an outdoor stimulating sensory garden for patients.Reports Sheffield Telegraph.
Director of the hospital charity, David Vernon-Edwards stated, "Every £1 counts, and a lot of pounds can make a lot of difference. If everyone in Yorkshire gave £1, we would have millions of pounds to help transform the lives of the children who come from all over the county, all over the UK and the world to be treated here."
