Tendering
Tendering for contracts is one of the areas in which we are in greatest demand. Support Solutions Principal Consultant, John Hodges, has a huge level of experience on both sides of the commissioning & procurement and bidding for services equation.
In the past 2 years John and his team have supported in excess of 120 providers to bid for contracts for new and existing services (winning contracts for clients worth in excess of £36m pa, a success rate of approx 67%). Including providing consultancy advice on 5 consortia, and various framework arrangement submissions, and working with RSLs, not for profit agencies/charities and private companies in many sectors including Housing Support, Social & Healthcare and Education. Additionally over the last three years the team has delivered a series of Tender Introduction, Master Classes and Consortium training events for over 3,750 attendees (nationally and in-house).
Support Solutions provides consultancy, support and assistance at whatever level our clients need; from "critical friend" approaches all of the way through to an entire tender writing, management and submission service, covering the entire breadth of public sector contracts. We are used to working to tight deadlines at short notice and being absolutely flexible. If necessary we work overnight and at weekends to make sure that your tender submission is not only delivered on time but that it is also of unmatched quality. We understand the complex minefield that is the territory of public sector procurement and we understand that our clients depend on success in their bids in order to survive and thrive. We know how Commissioners view and assess tenders and are particularly well-informed on the financial and unit cost elements of tenders. The fact that Support Solutions provides other services, such as cost reallocation, which inform an effective tender submission can add significant value to the work we do with housing support and social care providers.
John has developed significant experience and expertise in the formation of Consortium arrangements which enable Providers of all shapes and sizes to work together to provide excellent services whilst retaining their identity, specialisms and independence. This includes the development of a Memorandum of Understanding document to underpin a consortium agreement. Commissioners of housing support and social care services are encouraging the development of consortia which can be more competitive, for a both cost and quality reasons, when responding to tenders for services.
Support Solutions also advises Commissioning authorities on the conduct of tendering processes and framework contracts. This ensures that providers of housing support and social care services can focus beyond the tendering process itself and concentrate on the outcomes for vulnerable people who receive the services which are the subject of the tendering process.
in addition to the free service that we provide advertising tenders for commissioners we now provide a bespoke "Tenderfinder" subscription service, tailor-made to the business development priorities of your organisation.
