The 500th kitchen for West Lancashire Borough Council, which is part of a £65m programme of housing improvements by the local authority, has been completed.
Approximately 1,300 of the council’s properties will now benefit from a brand new kitchen in the current financial year. 650 of these will be provided by contractor Wates Living Space, reports 24dash.
Lee Sale, Wates business manager for the North West, added: “It is with great pride that we reach yet another substantial milestone in our work for West Lancashire Borough Council. Construction is progressing apace enabling us to help Council tenants to benefit from their new kitchens earlier than expected. We wanted to mark this achievement by presenting Mr and Mrs Sixsmith with a healthy grilling machine to enjoy in their new kitchen.”
