Residents at a recently completed housing development in Stoke-on-Trent have been given the keys to their new homes.
Leading housing and care provider, Sanctuary Group is celebrating the completion of 28 affordable homes at Slater Street in Middleport. They have all been leased in time for Christmas.
The properties, part of a wider £14m scheme partly-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency, have been built by Sanctuary’s construction partner Seddon. 24dash reports.
The housing development consists of a mix of two, three and four bedroom affordable family homes, alongside an 80-unit extra care scheme for the over 55s which is currently under construction and due to be completed in the New Year.
All of the new homes, helping to transform the local area, link closely with Stoke-on-Trent’s heritage.
As with so many of Sanctuary’s developments, this new project is delivering housing and has helped create apprenticeship opportunities for local people.
Sanctuary’s Development Manager Jonathan Mullins stated, “These newly completed properties in Slater Street are providing much-needed affordable homes in Stoke-on-Trent. The beautiful houses have been finished to Sanctuary’s high standards and understandably have been snapped up very quickly with all of the properties now occupied. We do hope that our residents will be very happy in their new homes.”
Regional Manager at Seddon, Ian Calder stated, “We are delighted to have supported Sanctuary Group to deliver these new affordable homes at Slater Street and it’s fantastic to hear how quickly they have been occupied. I hope all the families enjoy their new homes over Christmas”.
