A new app called SnapDonate allows users to donate to Charites via a picture. LensLights01

SnapDonate is powered by the platform JustGiving and allows you to make payments of a minimum of £2 via PayPal or credit card.

Currently over 130 charities are involved and recognised by the app. Some of these include Amnesty International, Cancer Research UK, HelpAge International, Oxfam and more.

SnapDonate will also work offline and allows donations for any of the 13,000 charities registered on JustGiving.

It simply works by allowing you to point your phone at a charity logo which the app will automatically recognise. You’ll then be able to select the amount you wish to donate which will be sent via JustGiving.

SnapDonate deducts nothing from donations. JustGiving charges the same handling fee as if the donation was made on its website. With Gift Aid, a £10 donation is worth £11.74 to charityNo.
