Unilever’s Campaign: #ClearAPlate
- 05 Dec
Unilever, alongside Oxfam, have supported many hungry families by already providing 2 million meals, and continue to do so in their journey to end food poverty.
Unilever have launched a new campaign, #ClearAPlate with aims to reduce food waste and raise awareness about food poverty. This campaign encourages people to share a photo of their empty plates on Twitter or Facebook, emphasising the need for people to try and decrease their wastage as much as possible. Currently, an estimated 11,500 tonnes of food is thrown away every day.
Unilever directly appeal to members of the public with their campaign, "So please, #ClearAPlate and don't waste food, and we'll make sure help and support is given to those who need it most".
