Mental health support in Folkestone during mental health awareness week

Sanctuary Supported Living and other service providers in Folkestone will be offering support and advice on the resources available to local people struggling with their mental health during the national awareness week.
From 10am to 4pm on Thursday 14th May staff and tenants from Sanctuary Supported Living's supported living schemes will be on hand to talk to people in Folkestone's Town Centre's Sandgate Road, reports 24dash.
The event hopes to raise awareness of the services available for people struggling with their mental health, and give them ways to access the,.
SSL local service manager Jo Miller is co-chair of the Dover, Deal and Shepway Mental Health Action Group, which organised the event.
Jo said: "We hope the event will help anyone who has, or who knows someone with, a mental health need. We want to both reduce the stigma around mental health needs and also provide practical information on what services are available."
