Charity Finance Group give £5000 funding

The Charity Finance Group are giving away £5000 funding to a transformational activity to mark the passing of Adrian Randall.
The Adrian Randall Prize 2013 for ‘Inspiring financial leadership' will be awarded to a deserving applicant, to be put towards an activity of their choice in any way that helps develop the concept, from training to a charity start-up.
Adrian Randall was one of the founding members of the Charity Finance Group. As he passed away this year, CFG are awarding a prize of £5000 to a charitable group to put towards a transitional activity of their choice.
Applicants are invited to submit ideas for new approaches and new ideas in the field of charity finance, including creative solutions to tackling problems and issues which have been neglected or are difficult to address.
The prize winner will be short-listed by an expert panel of judges consisting of:
- Caron Bradshaw - CEO of Charity Finance Group
- Andrew Hind - Co-founder of Charity Finance Group and editor of Charity Finance magazine
- Paul Palmer - Professor at Cass Business School
- Lynne Berry - Deputy Chair for Canal and River Trust
- Dame Clare Tickell - CEO of Action for Children
The winner will also have the opportunity to present their idea at the CFG Annual Conference 2013, with the support of Cass and CFG.
Selection criteria
To be considered, you must comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry and you must complete an application form.
Prize decisions will be based on a review of the written application and how well it demonstrates:
- Innovativeness and achievability
- Promotion of best practice within charity finance
- The ability to radically change charities' approach to charity finance
- Ability to address difficult or neglected issues
Applicants must fill in an online application form , explaining their idea in 300 - 400 words and submit by midnight on 10th December 2012 to randallprize@cfg.org.uk.
Judges will review all of the applications and announce the shortlisted applicants by the 14th January 2013.
