Funding for Mental Health Projects
- 09 Apr
Time to Change are running a grant programme for projects challenging stigma and discrimination of mental health in the community.
The intention of the projects need to be to bring people with and without mental health problems together and create opportunities for them to have meaningful conversations.
Projects must be led by people with experience of mental health problems. This means that people with first-hand experience take a lead at all levels and stages, from designing the project, to managing and evaluating the project.
This is the third round of grants and there will be around 75 projects funded between now and 2015.
25% of the fund is for projects run by and for people from Black and Minority Ethnic communities
20% is for projects that work with an audience of children and young people, in specific regions.
There are specific target areas, which will have information sessions prior to applying. These are:
- User-run and user-led groups
- Children and Young People projects in the South East (28th March 2013)
- Projects in the East Midlands
The deadline for submitting applications is 2pm on Tuesday 30th April 2013.
