#ICare Twitter campaign launched by JustGiving
- 13 Nov
JustGiving have launched a new Twitter campaigned aimed to inspire people to share causes they feel passionately about on the social networking site.
Many celebrities are already taking part, and Twitter users are encouraged to copy a sample tweet which includes the name of the charity they support, an image of them making a heart shape with their hands and a friends Twitter handle asking them who they support to keep momentum going.
"With just a month to go until Giving Tuesday (December 2nd), the global day of giving, we're encouraging people to publically share the causes they care about. By showing they care on Twitter, together we can help causes to reach more people, inspire more action and raise more money," said Charles Wells, chief marketing officer at JustGiving, The Drum.
"We hope that the #ICare campaign gives UK charities a boost as we enter the season of giving."
Twitter users are being encouraged to join the campaign by copying a sample tweet and updating it with their chosen charity, along with a picture of themselves making a heart shape with their hands.
