Completion of improvement programme for social landlord's sheltered housing
One social landlord has just completed a £10m improvement programme on its sheltered and extra care housing.
Knightstone Housing Association has just finished a refurbishment of eleven schemes in Bath, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare with each scheme having a focus on better lighting, level access showers, more accessible garden areas and new facilities, reports Inside Housing.
Further facilities include automatic front door entry systems and work on communal areas and tenants’ kitchens and bathrooms being replaced or renewed.
Darrell Jackson, strategic business manager at Knightstone, said: “We’ve modernised and refreshed their homes, to provide a more homely environment with a friendly atmosphere. It’s important that our residents have homes and facilities that help them to maintain their independence for as long as possible, and continue to enjoy life.”
