The Ginsberg health app is aimed at physical and mental well-being and has received Scottish Government backing.

Ginsberg has already attracted more than 1,000 users in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK. It is also targeting a health app market which is more aimed at physical health which the firm’s founders consider a major opportunity, Scotsman reports.

Approximately, one in four British people are thought to suffer from mental health issues. Research has also shown that apps in the health and fitness category are growing almost 90% faster than any other type of smartphone application.

Using this data, Ginsberg believes its app can reach out to many more people as they try to maintain their psychological health and this tool is a simple and convenient way to do so.

After its launch into the UK market, Ginsberg intends to promote the app internationally. Data from the software can be fed into an “insights engine” which allows integration with social networks.
