Salix Homes is now inviting applicants for its annual ‘Your Salix, Your Say’ fund. This is the fourth year the housing provider will be running the fund and it enables community groups and organisations the chance to bid for financial help to finance projects that will help improve the area where they live.

Salix Homes provides 8,500 homes and has their fund has help 44 local projects and channelled £105,000 into Salford, reports 24dash.

Sue Sutton, Salix’s director of customer and neighbourhood services, said: “Salix Homes is passionate about supporting local community initiatives that bring people together and keep our communities thriving, which is why we are delighted to be once again supporting the Salford community with much-needed funding. ‘Your Salix, Your Say’ has provided a lifeline for many groups and individuals over the years and we recognise that in the current economic climate, additional funding streams are more sought after than ever. I’d urge any community groups, local clubs or self-help organisations who are struggling for funding to apply for a ‘Your Salix, Your Say’ grant. We want to help continue the excellent work they do to strengthen the sense of community in Salford and make it a more desirable place to live for everyone.”
