Staff at Accent decided to top up a lottery win of £80 by an extra £100 and purchased vouchers from a department store for a prize draw to raise donations for a foodbank. The price of a ticket was donation of food to help them reach their target of 2013 items for the year 2013.

Some staff and contractors also donated items for the draw which included tow kindles, wine and chocolates. The target of 2013 food items was reached and exceeded with a total of 2432 food items donated. It was then distributed to local people in most need during the festive period via the Trussell Trust, reports 24dash.

The Peterborough Foodbank is one of over 400 national foodbanks which provide emergency food supplies to people in need, however they rely solely on donations.
