The largest Registered Housing Provider on Wirral, Magenta Living, gave their High Risk Register residents Christmas parcels in December.

Supported Housing staff came up with the idea to put together the Christmas parcels with donations from colleagues included. There are 75 tenants on the register and each received a parcel alongside a call from a member of staff working in the Magenta Living Contact Centre to wish them a merry Christmas on Christmas day, reports 24dash.

Sian Blackman from the Supported Housing Team, said: “The High Risk Register is for tenants who don't have any friends or family living nearby. The only person they tend to see is their Support Officer. We currently have 75 people on our list.”

One resident who received a parcel sent their thanks to Magenta Living and said: “Thank you for the gift at Christmas and for the phone call on Christmas Day. Most unexpected and a nice surprise.”
