Plymouth has launched a holistic mental health strategy in the city for the first time.
Memebers of the Plymouth Mental Health Network and city councillors recently celebrated the launch of the holistic Whole Life Whole Systems strategy, reports The Plymouth Herald.
This is Plymouth's first mental health strategy written by the people of Plymouth for the people of Plymouth.
The Whole Life Whole Systems Mental Health strategy focuses on recovery, early interventions and access to psychological therapies rather than other more prescribed remedies.
Chair of the Plymouth Mental Health Network, Sharon Claridge said: “Mental health service stakeholders have been consulted throughout the process, but more significantly, so have mental health service users and carers.”
